I have got an assignment in which i have to find prospects who want web development services.kindly guide me in this regard.

Search on www.monster.com for "web developer", then those will be the companies that need web solutions…

I am looking for a good online program to help me get a degree in graphics design. I have done a lot of animation, but I am a self taught animator. I would appreciate any feedback for getting a degree in graphics. I know having a degree doesn’t mean you are a good animator, but it does help when looing for a job.

Strangely enough going to school to learn to be an animator is alot smarter then going for graphic design.
If your good at drawing pursue illustration or animation the money is a hell of a lot better.
Animation companies don’t care AT ALL if you have a degree in astrophysics or classical animation. They just want a pretty demo reel filled with promising pieces of animation.
If you love to animate study animation!! If you like to draw pretty pictures pursue illustration.
The graphic design market is super flooded with people looking for jobs, and with this economy nobody’s looking to hire any. That means there are no jobs and the ones that do exist pay very little. On the other hand animation is a specialized skill so even though it’s super competitive there aren’t as many people to fill the need.

Website Development Company-is the buzz word, but not many people understand the true meaning of Web Development. Most people associate Web Designing with Web Development, which is not only misleading but really cramps up the vision of what real Web Development can do

my Website: http://www.networldsolutions.org

Web development incorporates all areas of creating a Web site for the World Wide Web. This includes Web design (graphic design, XHTML, CSS, usability and semantics), programming, server administration, content management, marketing, testing and deployment. The term can also specifially be used to refer to the "back end", that is, programming and server administration. There are usually more than one member that works on a given Web Development team, each specialising in his or her own field.

I am trying to get a job as a Junior Graphic Designer. Beside knowing how to use the software and being able to draw and design, could you tell me what other skills and knowledge are needed to work in an office, for example procedures such as sending something to the printers, colour and finishing techniques.

If you could get pre-press and printer knowledge, you would be at a distinct advantage. It’s great if you can get a trip to a working printers and see the process for yourself. There are also some great books out there if you don’t have time to actually visit.

I am running a business of web design and development in India and want to make long term relationship with web design and development companies in USA. How to proceed. Please suggest some idea.

You can check these guys out http://www.cookevillewebdesigns.com/
But what is your resonfor the relationship?

I have a website on comcast. I would like to design my own page rather than use comcast’s tacky (and rather limited) templates. I need a decent free or low cost web design software package that will allow me to upload it on comcast’s server so that the web address stays the same or close enough.

The following will allow you to pick an editor or coice of how to make your own pages…

Create a free website with Jimdo!: http://www.jimdo.com/

The web address should change at all if you have been assigned a sub-domain name. If it is a paid hosting service, then it will not change for sure. You just need to either overwrite any files of the same name, make any new folder names for the files you plan to use and upload the entire set of files is the same relationship as you made them on your computer so as not to break any paths.

Would like something that is very visual appealing, mainly. I can do coding if necessary. Thanks in advance for your good recommendations!!!

I want to make my own web page. What program is both free and user friendly?

The best I have found to date used to cost a bundle of bucks but has recently been placed into public domain as freeware. All you need do is download a copy and install it and go to town. It works in both WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) as well as direct source HTML editing, 1st Page 2000. It has a HUGE amount of online help available. The most current version is from 2006, however that costs still. Scroll down and get v2 of 1st Page 2000. I have been using this editor for years and have found NO better free editor. I can’t believe someone suggested Frontpage. You have to buy a Microsoft product to get Frontpage. Frontpage is NOT a free program. And besides, your web server has to have what are called "Frontpage extensions" enabled which not all web hosting services provide. If the extensions are NOT enabled, your page may NOT display as it does on your machine in all browsers. And MS calls this incompatibility a ":benefit" of using their program…

And if you do not have a web host already, you might try http://www.freewebs.com as a place to play around. There is no advertising (unlike other free hosts like angelfire and lycos which use a banner at the top and bottom of every page with as many as 4 advertisers shown) except for a button link you have to put at the bottom of the page which links to the freewebs home page. I created a web page at http://www.freewebs.com/ngc1147m/ just to see how easy it really was in about 10 minutes after I signed up. Note the the line near the bottom of this page referencing freewebs which is one of the many forms of link code you have to use as the price for free web hosting. I just added some things to their index.htm file. At the time, I was learning javascript which is where the pithy saying in the middle of the page comes from each time you visit or reload the page. Like I said, this is a really good place to experiment as you learn to program your own web pages. While you are at it, visit http://w3schools.com/ for some tutorials on HTML and web page design. w3schools is a bit over the head of a beginner just getting started sometimes. Another source is http://www.about.com which unfortunately has popup windows (get a popup blocker if you do not have one), but if you do a site search for "web page design" has a huge amount of simple tutorials on designing web pages.

I am a fresher as a web designer and had 4 months experience as Web Administrator. How much salary will suite to me anyway? Thanks!
hi to all.. I need full time and not part-time. Thanks!

I’m not sure… maybe 2 to 3 thousand dollars/month?

I placed a website in the resource box below that deals with open source softwares and applications like Java, Android, PHP, etc. Maybe it would be helpful on your research, since its run by esteemed professionals.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Good luck on your research!

I do a lot of trading online, mostly of oil and gold. I was wondering if anyone knew any or the best international B2B (business to business) marketplace website out there? If not is there any way I can do a search for international companies trying to send gold bullion?

I believe http://findabusiness.org should fit your needs. Not sure if they offer exactly, what you’re talking about but I remember reading somewhere that they will be expanding into a real time market place soon.
