I’m thinking that I want to be a web page designer. Some helpful information on how much i would make and what my major should be would be much appreaciated!!! also what would my official career/job title be? like a specialist or whatever. THANKS!!!

That’s called "Multimedia and Graphic Design" with specialization in web programming/design.
You could take that in great Technology and Art schools like Devry University or Ringling College of Art in Florida.

This particular field is the future and is in increasing demand. I know people who do computer animation/graphic design/web design that earn $100-350,000 a year (which is a LOT)

I’m moving towards computer animation. Wish you the best! You’re choosing a great and fun field that’s still evolving. :)

In this Adobe Photoshop graphics tutorial I will be teaching you how to slice images and use a website menu bar as an example. This tutorial is compatable with Adobe Photoshop CS1, CS2, CS3 & CS4 versions.

Difficulty Level:
Medium/Intermediate

If you have any problems or need help with any of this tutorial please leave a comment below or message me on YouTube.

I want to do that programing and repair. I also want a(n) associtates degree in business. What kinda collage classes?

You need skill, and alot of time, and you need to learn HTML.

I saw an adobe class to train on web design. Do you think that would be enough?
I am looking to do this as more of a supplemental income not a full fledge career.

I go to a design school. There’s a course called Graphic Design and Interactive Media. It’s a Bachelor of Design course for 3 years.

I can see why my friends from those courses laugh at people who go through 6 months of so-called IT training in whatever programme and think they’re ready to be the real deal.

No, my friend, it’s not enough. I’m not saying you absolutely need a degree for it. You need numerous training. Not just one. And more importantly, you need experience. I’m a web designer myself. I’ve been fooling around web designing for 8 years now. And I don’t take media courses.

Good luck. I suggest you ask that adobe class organizer what kinds of qualifications they can provide you with and if there are any follow-up classes after that.

I want to make my own web page. What program is both free and user friendly?

The best I have found to date used to cost a bundle of bucks but has recently been placed into public domain as freeware. All you need do is download a copy and install it and go to town. It works in both WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) as well as direct source HTML editing, 1st Page 2000. It has a HUGE amount of online help available. The most current version is from 2006, however that costs still. Scroll down and get v2 of 1st Page 2000. I have been using this editor for years and have found NO better free editor. I can’t believe someone suggested Frontpage. You have to buy a Microsoft product to get Frontpage. Frontpage is NOT a free program. And besides, your web server has to have what are called "Frontpage extensions" enabled which not all web hosting services provide. If the extensions are NOT enabled, your page may NOT display as it does on your machine in all browsers. And MS calls this incompatibility a ":benefit" of using their program…

And if you do not have a web host already, you might try http://www.freewebs.com as a place to play around. There is no advertising (unlike other free hosts like angelfire and lycos which use a banner at the top and bottom of every page with as many as 4 advertisers shown) except for a button link you have to put at the bottom of the page which links to the freewebs home page. I created a web page at http://www.freewebs.com/ngc1147m/ just to see how easy it really was in about 10 minutes after I signed up. Note the the line near the bottom of this page referencing freewebs which is one of the many forms of link code you have to use as the price for free web hosting. I just added some things to their index.htm file. At the time, I was learning javascript which is where the pithy saying in the middle of the page comes from each time you visit or reload the page. Like I said, this is a really good place to experiment as you learn to program your own web pages. While you are at it, visit http://w3schools.com/ for some tutorials on HTML and web page design. w3schools is a bit over the head of a beginner just getting started sometimes. Another source is http://www.about.com which unfortunately has popup windows (get a popup blocker if you do not have one), but if you do a site search for "web page design" has a huge amount of simple tutorials on designing web pages.

I’m starting a production company in Alabama and need to get a cool web page up and running soon.

Buy the hosting that I recommend (you need it anyways) and I’ll set you up a WordPress blog for $75.00

That host is just easy for me to work with.

Blue Voda is a free, easy to use website building software. Using Blue Voda, websites can be created in a matter of minutes. In this video, I guide you step by step on how to build a simple website.

Creating your own web site really has never been easier. There is really no need to outsource the building of your website when you have a software like BlueVoda. It’s literally drag and drop…no knowledge of html or any other code is necessary. If you’re an internet marketer looking to create many websites, or someone who just wants to create one, I believe this will be a big help for you.

Once you build your website with the software, you will need to get hosting for your website. I use VodaHost, which is the hosting for Blue Voda. I pay $7.95 per month. This is really cheap. Remember, whenever you put a website online, you need to have hosting. I don’t think there’s any way around that. For the hosting of your Blue Voda website, check out Voda Host here.

Lastly, I use AWeber as my email autoresponder.

This costs $20 per month. Once you have an email autoresponder and a website builder/website hosting, then you’re ready to start building your list of prospects and begin making money online. Both of these services together comes to around $27 per month. This is a really good price.

Good luck with your websites and feel free to send me any questions!
-Dan
