I am in my last year of school, I am working on my BFA in Graphic Design. I am currently living in northern California (about 1 hour north of San Francisco) and I am planning to search for jobs within the field and re-locate. I am thinking of either San Francisco, Los Angeles or possibly Orange county. I wanted to see if anyone has had any opinion or personal experience as a graphic designer in any of these cities. I have lived in Orange Co. before so I am open to relocating down there or closer to LA. I know that SF is a great place, but I prefer the climate and beaches of SoCal. Any thoughts?

Milwaukee. definitely.

I honestly think you can find a good job as a graphic designer in any of those cities you choose. Companies are always in need of graphic designers! I bet you will find a job within the first couple of months after graduating, in any of the cities you choose. California is a hub for internet companies and large businesses, you should have no problem

I think the sight is called salary.com
You type in your profession, level, etc… and compare nationwide in all cities, really cool for anyone relocating!

By the way, Texas seems to be the home of many techies from Cali…
The cost of living is less (175K -250K average home in Texas), and the pay is better!

http://www.newspapers.com also will give you local listings and classified job publications listed in alpha order as to city/state/providence
