The Linux version of the Adobe flash is just brain dead how it wastes hardware resources for simple operations. Flash should be using server side operations to add transparent effects to UI elements.
But actually flash is reading back the whole video for software rendering of UI elements. This jsut can&#8217;t be correct.

<p>Adobe: If you want to do software rendering do only software rendering. It is not cheap operation to move data between video memory and system memory.</p>
